Responsibilities of the Board of Directors

The board as a whole is responsible for the oversight of management of the businesses on behalf of the Red Lake Band. They are the separation of managing the tribally owned businesses from the Tribal Council schedule and placed into the hands of experienced and skilled Red Lake members. These individuals will develop and promote the best business practices for the tribe away from political change to provide stability within the business management. They are responsible for establishing long term business goals and strategies to support each enterprises day to day decision making process. They will focus on pursuing opportunities for job creation and profitable revenue generators. Their most critical task will be to manage the public funds and investments to best serve the interests and economic sustainability of the Red Lake Nation through the 9 tribally owned businesses.
